TRAINING OFFERINGS
At Edge Lab, training is built around 30-minute focused sessions — short enough to fit busy schedules, but intense enough to drive real improvement. This flexible format lets parents and players choose what works best for them, whether it’s stride work on the treadmill, stickhandling in the skills zone, or sharpening their shot in the lanes.
For players who want a longer challenge, we also offer EdgeCircuit — a 90-minute, high-energy session that blends treadmill, skills, and shooting. Currently available on Fridays, EdgeCircuit is designed to push athletes across all areas of their game while keeping focus and intensity from start to finish. As we grow, we’ll adjust availability based on interest and demand.
EDGECIRCUIT
FULL TRAINING CIRCUIT
90-min experience
Our flagship program combines coached treadmill sessions, self-guided shooting, and synthetic ice skill work into a 90-minute circuit. Athletes get a balance of structure and freedom to sharpen stride, shot, hands, and hockey sense — all in one efficient session. Coaching can also be tailored for added skills development.
TREAD training
SKATING TREADMILL
30-min experience
Coach-led treadmill sessions focus on stride, edge control, and skating form. With high reps and real-time feedback, athletes build muscle memory and efficiency in a controlled setting. Advanced skaters can push further with speed, incline, and endurance drills — even integrating stickhandling while in stride.
SKILLS ZONE
SHOOTING LANE & SYNTHETIC ICE
30-min experience each
Athletes get full access to our shooting lane, targets, and synthetic ice surface for stickhandling, edge work, one-timers, and shot accuracy. With plenty of space and training aids, players can dial in mechanics, play 1:1 or 2:2 games, and maximize reps without distraction.
Weekend-only Sessions
stickhandling training
Hands, Control & Creativity
30-min coach-led experience
Coach-led sessions develop soft hands and puck confidence through progressive drills. Athletes start stationary, building proper grip, quick touches, and control. From there, they advance to lateral crossover movements — stepping side-to-side while handling the puck to simulate game-like pressure and movement. As players progress, drills incorporate our stickhandling aids on synthetic ice, challenging athletes to carry the puck in motion, attack obstacles, and react with creativity. With a 1:4 coach-to-player ratio, each skater gets the feedback and reps needed to elevate their puck control and become harder to defend.
Shooting training
Accuracy, Power & Release
30-min coach-led experience
Stationary, coach-led sessions focus on building proper shot mechanics and strength through high-repetition reps in the shooting lane. With a 1:2 coach-to-player ratio, each athlete gets focused feedback while maintaining their own lane for uninterrupted shooting. Coaches emphasize puck placement, loading the stick, weight transfer, and follow-through to engrain consistent form. The high-volume reps also strengthen core shooting muscles, helping players gain accuracy, power, and a quicker, more confident release.
